Join us for our third SPEAKER EVENT of 2026 - featuring Dr. Christopher Kaczor. Our theme for the year is "The Foundation of Healthy Marriage & Parenthood" and this third event will explore the topic of "MYTHS ABOUT MARRIAGE & PARENTHOOD" inspired by the teachings of St. John Paul II.
The event will take place from 7:00pm - 8:30pm (Pacific Time) on Saturday, May 2 in the PARISH HALL at Saint Mark Catholic Church (Venice, CA). Doors open at 6:30pm.
This Talk will explore IMPORTANT TOPICS FOR THOSE DISCERNING OR LIVING OUT MARRIAGE:
- The nature of marriage, the type of love that a married couple promises to each other, and human happiness & fulfillment
- The issues with “alternatives” to covenant marriage, such as same-sex marriage, cohabitation & pre-marital relationships
- The reasoning behind the Church's teachings on children, contraception, reproductive technologies like IVF (in-vitro fertilization)

An optional free-will donation of $5 per person is suggested to help cover the costs of the event. But feel free to donate any amount. All are welcome to attend even if you are unable to give.

BIOGRAPHIES OF PRESENTERS - DR. CHRISTOPHER KACZOR
DR. CHRISTOPHER KACZOR graduated from the Honors Program of Boston College and earned a Ph.D. four years later from the University of Notre Dame. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Kaczor is a former Federal Chancellor Fellow at the University of Cologne and William E. Simon Visiting Fellow in the James Madison Program at Princeton University. His twelve books include The Gospel of Happiness, The Seven Big Myths about Marriage, A Defense of Dignity, The Seven Big Myths about the Catholic Church, The Ethics of Abortion, O Rare Ralph McInerny: Stories and Reflections on a Legendary Notre Dame Professor, Thomas Aquinas on the Cardinal Virtues; Life Issues-Medical Choices; Thomas Aquinas on Faith, Hope, and Love; The Edge of Life, and Proportionalism and the Natural Law Tradition.
